At Little Buddies we value teachers, parents, and whänau working together for the learning and well being of  children. We believe that moving to a new environment is a time of change and adaptation for children, their families/whanau and teachers. Transition to school involves forming new relationships, roles and responsibilities, and spans the time between preparing for the move to a new environment, to when the child and family/whanau are more fully established members of this new community. In order to facilitate this move, the management of LBLC organizes ‘Parents Mornings’ for our families to meet the Principals and New Entrant Teachers of the local schools. They share with the parents, the skills that children need to be empowered with for a smooth transition to school and parents are welcomed to ask questions and voice concerns regarding their child’s starting school.
