We have individual programme planing for the learning and development of each and every child based on Te Whāriki 2017, the early childhood curriculum of Aoteroa / New Zealand. Individual development plans are developed in partnership with parents / whānau for supporting their child’s positive learning and development. Te Whāriki emphasizes the learning partnership between teachers, children, parents and whānau. We have our own curriculum based on the broad definition in Te Whāriki, where curriculum is described as:
The sum total of the experiences, activities, and events, whether direct or indirect, which occur within an environment designed to foster children's learning and development.
